When the rapper announced that he was leaving the pop music world in 2018 to focus on art, it wasn’t all a shock.
The 20-year-old, who’s known for her offbeat, pop-cultural persona, had been a longtime fan of the billboard scene and had already expressed interest in a billboard pop-up in the city where she lives.
Now, Cyrus says she’s ready to take the billboards pop-ups further.
The artist says she wants to use them to inspire young people and build bridges.
She says the billboard popups will give people a chance to experience the city, something she says is often missing in contemporary pop culture.
“They can experience the places and the people, and I’m going to give them that opportunity,” she says.
“The people that I’m creating with this billboard popup, we’re all going to have a chance for it, too.
They’re going to be a part of the story.”
